NEW ROGUE ARENA FEATURES
We're excited to announce major enhancements to Rogue Arena that will bring even more value to you and your team’s training experience! These updates include several new features that allow teams of individuals to train together, making Rogue Arena more collaborative and dynamic than ever before.
Rogue Arena File Vaults (BETA):
Users of Rogue Arena can now upload open-source toolsets to their personal File Vault. This allows them to store files persistently even between scenario deployments and offers an easy push option, enabling them to push any number of files to any number of their virtual machines.
Users also have access to additional vault stores, including team vaults! This feature allows teams working in Rogue Arena to upload tools to a central vault, enabling each team member to push those files to their own attack machines and deployments.
Rogue Arena vaults also include the ability for students to store notes on each file, outlining important information, requirements, or sharing useful pastables for use in a Rogue Arena scenario.
Overhauled Video Player:
We’ve revamped the video player to include subtitle support and multiple resolution options, ranging from 480p to 4k. Video markers are also now available, allowing students to jump to specific parts of videos with ease.
Enhanced Resolution Management for Guest VMs:
Improved resolution management ensures a smoother experience when multiple users view the same virtual machine simultaneously.
Rewritten Key System:
We’ve completely redesigned the key system to eliminate any key unlock issues and added salts to each student's deployed keys. This ensures each each student deployment has its own unique keys and the new key system is also multiplayer enabled allowing users to work through a scenario together, each unlocking their own scenario curriculum.
FastTrack Keys:
After completing a lab in Rogue Arena, users can unlock a FastTrack key for that specific lab (unique to each student deployment). This feature allows students to immediately jump to a specific host used in a scenario, enabling them to start training right from where they left off.
Updated ROPS-RT1 Environment Build:
We’ve also made several updates to the ROPS-RT1 lab environment including the addition of several BOFS, updating a few workstations to Windows 11, the addition of a few new workstations, and several improvements to stretch labs.
For a full changelog of the ROPS-RT1 Lab improvements, review the changelog in environment manager in Rogue Arena.
ROPS-RT1 SELF-LED DEVELOPMENT
With the completion of this Rogue Arena update, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be resuming development of ROPS-RT1 self-led. Several of the Rogue Arena improvements above (and many more on the backend) were required to give self-led students an even better experience working through the lab and following along with instructional videos.
